Weddings are beautiful events that evoke feelings of nostalgia and joy. That feeling is magnified tenfold when it's your friends who are getting married. If you don't know Maureen and Richard's story, you can read about here. On one of the most important days of their lives, Maureen and Richard were surrounded by those who love them the most. Everyone that helped out on this day has played some kind of role in the lives of these two, which made me all the more honored that I was asked to be a part of it. Some of those who participated in their day include award-winning make-up artist Andrea Fairweather of Fairweather Faces.
Both of the fabulous pairs of shoes belong to the bride! Oww!
Unexpected calls from Richard kept a smile on Maureen's face.
Serena's reaction to seeing Maureen in her dress was so sweet.
And then we were on our way to First Presbyterian Church in Jamaica, Queens for the ceremony.
Richard is a praise and worship leader at First Presbyterian Church in Jamaica. Richard is also an accomplished singer, songwriter and composer. As such, he has amassed numerous artistically gifted friends over the years. Maureen and Richard's ceremony was rich with praise and worship...
...the most special, tender moments.
We can't forget the funny ones either. Reverend O'Connor had everyone rolling with his opening joke.
Their good friend Gordon Chambers made an appearance to sing his song Key Relationship, which was written and composed by Richard.
More funny and tender moments as Richard prepared himself to salute his bride.
Epic group shots!
And a most fabulous bridal party.
The time that I spent with these two and their loved ones was pretty amazing up until this point. True to fashion, Maureen and Richard found a way to top everything! Stay tuned for part two of Maureen and Richard's wedding day, where I cover the two (yes, two!) wedding receptions these two party animals had. Till then!
