I sit here and type out this post in a bit of disbelief at the thought of the year being over! Between work, school, family, friends and life in general, the year went by in quite a rush. So fast, in fact, that I almost forgot how wonderful this year has been to me. I am reminded of all of the fun I had this past year through the images I captured while serving my clients. We shot in everything from near extreme heat to rainy, windy and cold conditions, but westill had a blast! We captured memories here in Raleigh, but also in destinations like the boroughs of NYC, Alexandria, VA; Charleston, SC and the costal community of Beaufort, NC. I captured the weddings, engagements and family portraits of dear friends and those who would later became dear friends through the process. I participated in a styled shoot and even organized one of my own! (More on my styled shoot in the new year) I also had the opportunity to work with some amazing photographers in the area, including two wedding photographers who hired me to second shoot with them. Here is a sampling of my favorite images from 2014. 

What a year! Sure there were difficult moments mixed in with the really sweet moments, but overall I was able to learn and grow. I go into 2015 looking to take those lessons learned and apply them to make both me and Chronicles Photography the best that we can possibly be in the new year and beyond. There are times in life where you are afforded the opportunity to bless someone who has blessed you. I had the opportunity to do so with a super dynamic couple who just happen to be my friends. Marc and Lana have been that voice, encouraging me to not only pursue photography, but to provide it as a service for those who cherish moments that have been visually documented. So when Lana and Marc approached me to capture what 7 years of marriage look like for them, I immediately grew excited. These two are a beautiful example of what it looks like to include Christ in your marriage. Everything that these two set out to do is done with a spirit of excellence, and the same can be said about their marriage.
